The paper mill in Brainerd was started by Northwest Paper Company (now Potlatch) in 1898. Although the paper mill is no longer owned by Potlatch, Potlatch Corporation is still a leader in sustainable forestry growing trees, selling timber, manufacturing solid wood products, and conserving forests for generations to come.
